The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) conducted the HSLC 2025 examinations in both theory and practical formats. Exams were held in two shifts, with an additional 5 minutes provided at the start of each shift for reading the question paper. Students meeting attendance and academic eligibility criteria from SEBA-affiliated schools were allowed to appear.

Exam Timings
- Morning Shift: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Application Process & Eligibility
- Online Form Fill-up: 23 October – 14 November 2024
- Applications submitted through schools to SEBA.
- Must have passed Class 9 and be enrolled in Class 10 at a SEBA-affiliated school.
- Minimum attendance required.
- Fee Exemption: BPL and disabled students exempted from exam fees (except centre fee).
Syllabus & Exam Pattern
- Core Subjects: General Mathematics, General Science, Social Science, English, Modern Indian Language (MIL – Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, etc.).
- Marks Distribution:
- General Science, General Mathematics, Social Science: 90 marks (theory) + 10 marks (internal).
- English: 90 marks (theory) + 10 marks (Spoken English).
- MIL Subjects: 100 marks (no internal assessment).
- Passing Marks: Minimum 30 marks per subject; for subjects with internal, at least 27 marks in theory required.

Additional Information
- Admit Cards: Distributed via schools before exams.
