About Exam
Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the official notification for the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025. This exam is mandatory for candidates who wish to become Secondary and Senior Secondary teachers in government schools across Bihar. The STET certificate will have lifetime validity, making candidates eligible for future teacher recruitment phases, including the upcoming BPSC TRE-4 in December 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Paper I (Secondary Teachers, Classes 9–10): Graduation in relevant subject with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed. or B.El.Ed.
- Paper II (Senior Secondary Teachers, Classes 11–12): Postgraduation in relevant subject with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed. or B.El.Ed.
- Note: For some subjects such as Computer Science, B.Ed. may not be mandatory. Refer to official notification for subject-specific rules.
Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 37 years (Unreserved Male)
- Maximum Age: 40 years (Unreserved Female, BC, EBC)
- Maximum Age: 42 years (SC/ST)
- Ex-servicemen: +3 years relaxation
- Divyang Candidates: Up to 40 years

- Other Skills – 20 marks (General Knowledge, Environmental Science, Mathematical Aptitude, Logical Reasoning)
