Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have one of the following qualifications from a recognized university or institute:
- M.Sc. (Second Class) in Geology or Applied Geology
- OR M.Tech. in Geology
- OR Degree in Mining Engineering

Selection Process:
- Written Examination – Total 300 Marks
- Paper I: General Knowledge – 100 Marks (Duration: 90 minutes)
- Paper II: Geology / Mining (based on qualification) – 100 Marks (Duration: 90 minutes)
- Paper III: Mineral Policy and Related Acts/Rules – 100 Marks (Duration: 90 minutes)
- Question Format: Objective/Subjective
- Exam Mode: Offline (Pen and Paper)
- Exam Languages: Hindi & English
- Negative Marking: Applicable
- Interview – Approximately 50 Marks
- Final merit list will be prepared based on total marks in the written exam and interview.
Pay Scale:
- Level 9 (7th CPC): ₹53,100 – ₹1,67,800/- plus allowances
