Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is a state-level eligibility test conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Haryana (BSEH) for candidates aspiring to become teachers in government schools of Haryana. It has three levels:

  • Level-I (PRT): Primary Teacher for Classes 1 to 5
  • Level-II (TGT): Trained Graduate Teacher for Classes 6 to 8
  • Level-III (PGT): Post Graduate Teacher for Classes 9 to 12

Application Fee
Level-I (PRT)

  • General / OBC / Other State (Including SC & PH): ₹1000
  • SC, PH (Haryana): ₹500

Level-II (TGT)

  • General / OBC / Other State (Including SC & PH): ₹1800
  • SC, PH (Haryana): ₹900

Level-III (PGT)

  • General / OBC / Other State (Including SC & PH): ₹2400
  • SC, PH (Haryana): ₹1200

Payment Mode: Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Mobile Wallets

Age Limit
As per HTET Rules, with relaxation as per government norms.

Educational Qualification

  • Primary Teacher (PRT – Level I):
    12th pass with 50% marks + 2-Year D.El.Ed / 4-Year B.El.Ed / Graduation with D.El.Ed
  • Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT – Level II):
    Graduation or appearing in 2-Year D.El.Ed / Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed / 12th with 50% marks + 2-Year D.El.Ed
  • Post Graduate Teacher (PGT – Level III):
    Master’s degree in relevant subject with 50% marks + B.Ed / M.Ed with 50% aggregate marks

Exam Pattern and Selection

  • Mode: Offline (OMR-based)
  • Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes per level
  • Total Questions: 150 Objective MCQs
  • Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answer, No negative marking
  • Languages: English & Hindi
  • Selection Process: Written Exam followed by Document Verification

Certificate Validity
The HTET certificate is valid for 7 years from the date of result.
