Head Constable (RO):

• 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics – Minimum 60% marks
  OR
• 10th pass with 2 years ITI in Radio & Television, Electronics, COPA, Data Preparation & Computer Software, IT & ESM, Electrician, Fitter, or related trades

Head Constable (RM):

• 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics – Minimum 60% marks
  OR
• 10th pass with 2 years ITI in Radio & Television, General Electronics, COPA, or related trades

Physical Eligibility

Male Candidates

• Height: 168 cm (Gen/OBC/EWS/SC), 162.5 cm (ST)
• Chest: 80–85 cm (Gen/OBC/EWS/SC), 76–81 cm (ST)
• Race: 1.6 km in 6.5 minutes
• Long Jump: 3.6 meters (3 chances)
• High Jump: 1.2 meters (3 chances)

Female Candidates

• Height: 157 cm (Gen/OBC/EWS/SC), 154 cm (ST)
• Race: 800 meters in 4 minutes
• Long Jump: 9 feet (3 chances)
• High Jump: 3 feet (3 chances)

Selection Process

1. Phase I – PST & PET
   • Qualifying in nature
   • Includes height, chest, weight check, running, long jump, and high jump
2. Phase II – Computer Based Test (CBT)
   • Duration: 2 Hours
   • Total Questions: 100
   • Total Marks: 200
   • Negative Marking: –0.25 per wrong answer
   • Bilingual: Hindi & English

   Exam Pattern

   • Physics: 40 Questions – 80 Marks
   • Mathematics: 20 Questions – 40 Marks
   • Chemistry: 20 Questions – 40 Marks
   • English & General Knowledge: 20 Questions – 40 Marks
     Total: 100 Questions – 200 Marks

   Qualifying Marks

   • General/OBC/EWS: 38%
   • SC/ST: 33%
3. Phase III – Dictation & Paragraph Reading Test (for HC RO only)
   • Dictation: 50 Marks (Qualifying)
   • Reading ability test

5. Medical Examination
   • Vision: Minimum 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision, color vision standard
   • Other medical standards as per BSF norms

Final Merit List

• HC (RO): Based on CBT (200 Marks) + Dictation Test (50 Marks) = 250 Marks
• HC (RM): Based only on CBT marks (200)

Pay Scale

• Level 4 (7th CPC): ₹25,500 – ₹81,100 + allowances
