About Exam
The Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2025 is a national-level Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted by NTA on behalf of CSIR to determine:

  • Eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
  • Appointment as Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges
  • Admission to Ph.D. programs

Qualified JRF candidates receive a ₹37,000 monthly fellowship for the first two years, plus a ₹20,000 annual contingency grant. Selected JRFs may be upgraded to Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) at ₹42,000 per month based on performance. MoES Fellowships (Earth Sciences) include 25 seats supported by the Ministry of Earth Sciences.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Master’s Degree or Equivalent:
      • General/EWS: 55% marks
      • OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PwD / Third Gender: 50% marks
    • Final Year / Result Awaited: Eligible provisionally; must secure required marks within 2 years for JRF or 1 year for Ph.D. admission
    • Four-Year Bachelor’s Degree (NEP): 75% marks (70% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/EWS) – Eligible for JRF & Ph.D. only
    • Ph.D. completed before 19 September 1991: 5% relaxation in marks
  • Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025):
    • JRF: Maximum 30 years
    • Assistant Professor / Ph.D. Admission: No upper age limit
