About Scheme
The Indian Army has released the official notification for the NCC Special Entry Scheme 123rd Course (April 2026). This Short Service Commission (NT) recruitment is open to unmarried male and female candidates, along with wards of battle casualties of Army personnel. The scheme allows eligible NCC “C” Certificate holders and wards of battle casualties to join as officers without a written examination.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

  • Citizen of India, or
  • Subject of Nepal, or
  • Person of Indian origin who has migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit

  • 19 to 25 years as on 01 January 2026.
  • Candidates must be born between 02 January 2001 and 01 January 2007 (both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualification (NCC “C” Certificate Holders)

  • Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • Minimum two years of service in the Senior Division/Wing of NCC.
  • Minimum “B” Grade in NCC “C” Certificate examination.
  • Final-year students can apply, but they must produce proof of passing their graduation degree with all mark sheets by the specified date.

Educational Qualification (Wards of Battle Casualties)

  • Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • NCC “C” Certificate not required.
  • Must provide a valid Battle Casualty Certificate.

  1. Shortlisting of applications based on marks in the degree course.
  2. SSB Interview – 5-day process conducted in two stages.
  3. Medical Examination for candidates who clear SSB.
  4. Final merit list based on SSB performance.
