Eligibility Criteria:

  • The student must be currently studying in Class 8 during the academic session 2024–25 in a Government or Government-recognized school
  • Date of Birth should be between 1 May 2010 and 31 July 2012 (both dates inclusive)
  • Must apply in the same district where the current school is located and where the JNV is functioning
  • Not Eligible:
    • Students who have passed Class 8 in earlier years
    • Students who applied for LEST in previous years

Exam Pattern:

  • Mode: Offline (OMR-based)
  • Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes
  • Medium: English / Hindi

Syllabus Highlights:

  • English: Grammar, sentence formation, comprehension
  • Hindi: Grammar, vocabulary, unseen passage
  • Mathematics: Based on Class 8 topics

Admission Process:

  1. Apply Online at navodaya.gov.in or cbseitms.nic.in
  2. Download Admit Card before the exam date
  3. Appear for Selection Test (LEST) conducted on 8 February 2025
  4. Check Result on 25 March 2025 using roll number and date of birth
  5. Attend Document Verification and Medical Check-up at allotted JNV if shortlisted

Documents Required for Admission:

  • Proof of Date of Birth
  • Proof of Address / Domicile Certificate
  • Class 8 Marksheet and Passing Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC)
  • Rural Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Medical Certificate (for PwD candidates)
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Signatures of both candidate and parent
  • Aadhaar Card / APAAR ID / PEN
