CBT Exam Dates:

- Technician Grade 3: December 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29 & 30, 2024
Objection Tracker Window: January 6–11, 2025
Results:
- Technician Grade 1 Signal: March 12, 2025
- Technician Grade 3: March 19, 2025
Scorecard Availability: From March 12, 2025 (Tech-I Signal); later for Tech-III
DV & Medical Examination: Ongoing from late March 2025, continuing through June 2025
Eligibility Criteria (as on July 1, 2024):
Nationality: Must be an Indian Citizen
Age Limit:
- Technician Grade 1 Signal: 18–36 years
- Technician Grade 3: 18–33 years
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST (5 yrs), OBC-NCL (3 yrs), PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, etc., as per rules
Educational Qualification:
- Technician Grade 1 Signal:
- B.Sc. (Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / IT / Instrumentation)
- OR 3-Year Diploma in Engineering in relevant disciplines
- OR B.E./B.Tech. in the above streams
- Technician Grade 3:
- Matriculation / SSLC + ITI Certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in relevant trade
- OR Matric / SSLC + Course Completed Act Apprenticeship
- OR 10+2 with Physics and Maths (for specific trades)
Note: Qualifications must be from recognized institutions and acquired before the application closing date.

Application Fee:
- UR/OBC/EWS: ₹500 (₹400 refunded after CBT)
- SC/ST/Female/ExSM/PwBD: ₹250 (fully refunded after CBT)

- Computer Based Test (CBT):
Technician Grade 1 Signal Pattern:
- Duration: 90 minutes (120 mins for PwBD)
- Total: 100 Questions
- General Awareness – 10
- General Intelligence & Reasoning – 15
- Basics of Computers & Applications – 20
- Mathematics – 20
- Basic Science & Engineering – 35
- Negative Marking: 1/3 per wrong answer
Technician Grade 3 Pattern:
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Total: 100 Questions
- Mathematics – 25
- General Intelligence & Reasoning – 25
- General Science – 40
- General Awareness – 10
- Negative Marking: 1/3 per wrong answer
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- UR/EWS – 40%
- OBC(NCL)/SC – 30%
- ST – 25%
- Document Verification (DV): Based on CBT merit
- Medical Examination (ME): Conducted post DV as per RRB norms
- Standards: A-3, B-1, B-2 depending on the post
Current Status:
The RRB Technician CEN 02/2024 recruitment is in its final phase. Document Verification and Medical Examinations are ongoing zone-wise, with panels being issued through June 2025.
