Eligibility Criteria

1. Citizenship

  • Citizen of India, or
  • Subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
  • Tibetan refugee (who came to India before 01 January 1962), or
  • Person of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with intention of permanent settlement.

2. Educational Qualification (as on cutoff date)

  • All Other Posts: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with at least 60% in Mathematics at 12th standard OR Graduation with Statistics as a subject.
  • Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as a subject in all three years.
  • Assistant Audit Officer / Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO): Bachelor’s Degree. Desirable qualifications include CA, CMA, CS, M.Com, or MBA (Finance).

3. Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)

  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 30 years (post-wise variation up to 32 years)

Post-wise Examples

  • 18–27 years: Auditor, Tax Assistant, etc.
  • 18–30 years: Assistant, Inspector of Income Tax, etc.
  • 20–30 years: Assistant Section Officer, Sub-Inspector in CBI, etc.
  • 18–32 years: Certain specific posts

  • PwBD (UR): 10 years
