About Exam:
The Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) 10+2 Examination 2025 conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is a national-level recruitment examination held annually to select eligible candidates for various clerical-level posts in ministries, departments, and organizations under the Government of India.

The CHSL exam is specifically meant for candidates who have passed Class 12 (Intermediate) and are seeking government jobs in Group C categories such as Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA), Sorting Assistant (SA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO).

The selection process involves Tier-I (Computer-Based Test), Tier-II (Objective Test + Skill/Typing Test), and Document Verification. The exam evaluates candidates’ proficiency in English, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge.

  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA):
    • Pay Level‑2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200)
  • Postal Assistant (PA) / Sorting Assistant (SA)
    • Pay Level as per post-wise allocation
  • Data Entry Operator (DEO) / DEO Grade‑A:
    • Pay Level‑4 or 5 (₹25,500 – ₹92,300)

Application Fee:

  • General / OBC / EWS: ₹100
  • SC / ST / PwD / Female: ₹0 (Exempted)
  • Payment Mode: Online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, IMPS, Cash Card / Mobile Wallet, SBI Challan

Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025):

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 27 Years
  • Age Relaxation (as per SSC norms):
    • SC/ST: +5 years
    • OBC: +3 years
    • PwD: UR +10 years, OBC +13 years, SC/ST +15 years

Educational Qualification:

  • LDC / JSA / PA / SA:
    Passed 12th Class (Intermediate) from any recognized board in India.
  • DEO / DEO Grade ‘A’:
    Passed 12th in Science Stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized board or equivalent.

Selection Process:

  1. Tier-I (Computer Based Test – Objective Type)
    • English Language
    • General Intelligence & Reasoning
    • Quantitative Aptitude
    • General Awareness
    • Total: 100 Questions, 200 Marks, 60 Minutes
    • Negative Marking: 0.5 marks for each wrong answer
  2. Tier-II (CBT + Skill Test/Typing Test)
    • Paper-I (Objective): Divided into:
      • Section-I: Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning
      • Section-II: English Comprehension, General Awareness
      • Section-III: Computer Knowledge Module
    • Skill Test (for DEO): 15000 key depressions/hour
    • Typing Test (for LDC/JSA): Typing speed of 35 wpm (English) or 30 wpm (Hindi)
  3. Document Verification: After qualifying all test stages

How to Fill SSC CHSL Form 2025:

  • Go to ssc.gov.in
  • Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) if new user
  • Login using Registration ID and Password
  • Fill SSC CHSL 2025 Online Form
  • Upload scanned passport-size photo and signature
  • Pay application fee (if applicable)
  • Submit form and take a printout for reference
  • Correction Window available only once from 25–26 July 2025

  • Submit form before the last date to avoid disqualification
