Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from any recognized board in India.
- Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025):
- Grade C: 18 – 30 Years
- Grade D: 18 – 27 Years
- Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen as per SSC norms
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India or as per SSC eligibility conditions
Salary Details
- Stenographer Grade C: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800 + GP ₹4,200 (Level 6)
- In-hand salary approx. ₹50,000 – ₹60,000/month
- Stenographer Grade D: ₹5,200 – ₹20,200 + GP ₹2,400 (Level 4)
- In-hand salary approx. ₹36,000 – ₹43,500/month

- Computer-Based Test (CBT) – Objective type questions
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 50 Questions – 50 Marks
- General Awareness: 50 Questions – 50 Marks
- English Language & Comprehension: 100 Questions – 100 Marks
- Duration: 2 Hours | Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
- Skill Test in Stenography – Qualifying in nature
- Dictation and transcription on computer (English/Hindi)
- Descriptive Test – As per SSC selection process (where applicable)
