Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has released the recruitment notification for 4,543 posts of Sub-Inspector (Civil Police), Platoon Commander (PAC & Fire Service), and Women’s PAC Commander. Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in India

Technical & Skill Qualification

  • “O” Level Computer Certificate from NIELIT or equivalent recognized institution
  • Hindi Typing: Minimum 25 WPM
  • English Typing: Minimum 30 WPM
  • Hindi Shorthand: Minimum 80 WPM

Nationality

  • Indian Citizen or categories specified under Government rules including certain Tibetan refugees & Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)

1. General Hindi / Computer Knowledge

  • General Hindi: Vocabulary (synonyms, antonyms, one-word substitution), Hindi grammar (gender, number, karak, sarvanam, visheshan, kriya), sentence correction, idioms, comprehension, literature (famous poets/authors, awards in Hindi).
  • Computer Knowledge: Basics of computers (history, fundamentals), operating systems, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, WWW, networking, cybercrime, social media communication, emerging technologies (AI, mobile computing).

2. Basic Law / Constitution & General Knowledge / Current Affairs

  • Indian Constitution: Fundamental Rights, Duties, Directive Principles, Amendments.
  • Legal & Social: Human Rights, Traffic Rules, Crime & Punishment, Reservation Policy.
  • Current Affairs: National & international events, sports, cybercrime, social media trends.
  • General Knowledge: Awards, Books & Authors, Indian History & Culture, Geography, Economy, Polity, Science, Environment, Cyber Awareness.

3. Numerical & Mental Ability Test

  • Numerical Ability: Number system, simplification, HCF/LCM, percentages, profit & loss, discount, interest, ratio & proportion, partnership, time & work, time & distance, geometry, mensuration, data interpretation.
  • Mental Ability: Logical diagrams, symbol-relationship interpretation, codification, word formation, letter & number series, analogy, direction sense, blood relations, Venn diagrams, logical interpretation of data.

4. Mental Aptitude Test / IQ Test / Reasoning
