About Scheme
The Uttar Pradesh Government has launched the UP Scholarship Scheme 2025–26 to provide financial assistance to students from Class 9 up to higher education, including diploma, graduation, post-graduation, and professional courses. This year, in addition to state-level scholarships, a new international scholarship program has been introduced in partnership with the UK Government.

The scheme benefits students from General, SC, ST, OBC, and Minority categories, covering tuition fees, study materials, hostel fees, and living costs. Scholarship funds are transferred directly through DBT to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.

New International Scholarship – Chevening–Atal Bihari Vajpayee UP State Government Scholarship

• Partnership: Uttar Pradesh Government & UK Government (FCDO)
• Seats: 5 meritorious students per year
• Course: One-year Master’s degree in the UK
• Benefits: Full tuition fees, research/exam fees, monthly allowance, and return airfare

  • UP Government: ~£19,800 per student

• Post-Matric (Class 11 & above):

  • SC/ST: Up to ₹2,50,000 per year

Application Process

1. Complete One Time Registration (OTR) with Aadhaar e-KYC and mobile authentication to generate an OTR number.
2. Visit scholarship.up.gov.in → “Student” → “New Registration”.
3. Log in with OTR number, registration ID, and password.
4. Fill personal, academic, and bank details.
5. Upload scanned copies of documents and photograph.
6. Submit the form online and print a copy.
7. Submit the hard copy with documents to your school/college for verification.

For Renewal Candidates:

• Use last year’s registration number.
• Update details and resubmit the application.

Scholarship Disbursement

• Funds are released via DBT to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
• Biometric verification is mandatory for release of funds.
